Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre – 2006 season: The Edges of Rome, 2005 (Campaign), image 1

For this politically-charged season with a Roman theme, the raw graffiti tradition of the streets of Rome was given a contemporary update that reflected its continuing relevance. Programme covers were systematically overprinted with additional layers of graffiti as the season evolved.
