‘All the Best’ is a swatch book for Fedrigoni papers, showcasing a cross-section of materials suitable for greetings cards. The sixteen printed examples demonstrate how these materials respond to different production processes.
As a paper product itself, confetti serves as a universal metaphor for celebration, instantly understood by all, and provides the ideal device to bring together a set of printed images. Importantly, the random scattering of circles possess useful abstract qualities. These simple forms are a natural extension of the pared-back graphic language that GTF established for Fedrigoni’s swatch books, beginning with ‘Paper Box’ in 2019.
Confetti’s nonchalant scattering offers a pleasing contrast to the formal typography, and with so much playful trompe-l’œil happening inside, it has hard to resist including real Sirio Color confetti, trapped between the slipcase and its protective shrink wrap.
