Habitat’s spring/summer 2001 collection brought together three themes: Technocraft, Midnight Garden and Nouveau Riche. For the press catalogue, Technocraft was illustrated with hand-crafted objects lit with miniature fluorescent lights; Midnight Garden with images of rose beds at night; and Nouveau Riche with pen-and-wash illustrations of nouveau riche clichés. Laminated tabs on page edges seemed to offer a means of negotiating this disparate material; in fact, their functionwas to glossily convey the season’s palette.
