As a collector of counterculture first editions and anti-establishment ephemera, Richard Prince’s activities as an artist and as a collector merge with little definable separation. In this catalogue, amongst reproductions of his Hippie Paintings, welded into the binding is a series of clear, polythene pockets holding an assortment of ephemera: facsimile photographs, documents and a flexi disc. The catalogue texts are risograph-printed on coloured sugar-papers, evoking the Gestetner-printed hippie literature of underground publishers.
